CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINER

1.      In general the host/hostess supplies a suitable area in which the Entertainer can work i.e. a corner or place set aside where he can properly conduct his services on a one to one basis with each child. It should be an area of concentration as brushes must be kept away fro children’s eyes.

2.      Face painting requires a table, two chairs (if no table then 3 chairs), and access to water.

3.   Balloon modelling requires a table or two chairs.

4.   The Entertainer will try to administer to as many young persons as possible in the time permitting.

5.      The Entertainer will provide paints, sponges, brushes, for face painting together with balloons and appropriate pumps for balloon modelling.

6.   Health and Safety:-

a) The Entertainer has been police checked and CRB checked and can provide copies for inspection.

b) It is the responsibility of the host/hostess to make sure that a responsible adult i.e. parent or guardian is present to supervise all the children at all times as only one child can be face painted at a time.

c) The host is to provide a suitable place for the Entertainer to change into his party outfit at the beginning and end of the event.

7.   The Entertainer’s responsibility is to provide, solely, face painting and balloon modelling at parties and events.

8.   Children have a choice of full face painting or small face painting. If time is at a premium, then the host/hostess  

      can decide whether small face painting would suffice so that no child is left disappointed at the end of the party. 

9.      The host/hostess needs to give at least one week’s notice of any cancellation. Cancellations within 7 days would attract a 50% cancellation fee unless the Entertainer can fill the vacancy.

10.  Payment is made on the day of the engagement, in cash, and before the end of the event.

11.  If for unforeseen circumstances the Entertainer has to cancel an engagement then he will do his best to find a suitable replacement, in which case, the new entertainer’s details will be submitted to the host/hostess for consideration and agreement.

12. The Entertainer cannot work in raining or windy conditions without shelter.
